Good to know

  • All submissions must be 100% original
  • Submissions infringing on any copyright/trademarks will be disqualified
  • All submissions must follow the Fitbit App Gallery Guidelines
  • Your Clock face name must begin with "#HtW" (e.g. #HtW Awesome Clock)
  • All Clock faces should be published as free
  • This is an individual challenge, not a team challenge

Participants

This challenge is open to anyone who is over 18 years of age at the date of the submission, with the exception of Fitbit employees and its subsidiaries or affiliates or employees of their agents or suppliers or family members of any such employees.


You should work on developing the clock face on your own, as this is meant to be an individual, not a team challenge.

Jury

A Jury composed of Fitbit engineers and product managers is in charge of enforcing the rules of the competition. The Jury will review the submissions of the participants and award the prizes.


The Jury is sovereign for enforcing the rules of the competition and deciding the awards. The Jury may decide at any time to exclude some participants which do not follow the rules of the competition.

Conditions

Each participant may submit only one clock face as part of this challenge. Any additional submission will not be considered for the competition. In the event that a participant submits additional entries under an alternative name will result in disqualification.



All participants must acknowledge and agree to the Fitbit Platform terms of Service in on order to participate in this competition.

You will submit your clock face through the Fitbit developer platform, following the app submission process as described here https://dev.fitbit.com/getting-started.

The clock faces must be submitted during the Competition Period 21st of November, 2018 – 28th of November, 2018. Only the submissions received during the respective dates will be considered.

The judging will take place during the following dates 29th of November, 2018 – 20th of December, 2018. Winners will be announced on 21st of December, 2018 both through our Competition Page, as well as via e-mail.

"How To Web” Challenge Official Rules

The “How To Web” Fitbit Challenge (the “Competition”) is a programming competition run by Fitbit. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, these Terms are an agreement between you and Fitbit International Limited, an Irish company with its registered office at 76 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, Ireland. If you reside elsewhere, these Terms are an agreement between you and Fitbit, Inc., 199 Fremont Street, 14th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94105 U.S.A. When the Terms mention “Fitbit,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” they refer to the party to your agreement that provides you with the Fitbit Service.

In order to enter this Competition, any participant (“Participant(s)”) must read and agree to these terms and conditions ("Terms"). Participants agree that submission of a registration into the Competition constitutes agreement to these Terms. Participants must not enter the Competition and are not eligible to receive the prizes awarded in connection with this Competition (as further described below, the “Prizes”) unless they agree to these Terms.

This Competition shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland, excluding any choice of law rules. The provisions of the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not be applicable. All disputes arising from, out of or in connection with this Competition shall be finally settled by binding arbitration under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce by one or more arbitrators appointed in accordance with the said Rules; provided however that any party may seek any interim relief from a court of competent jurisdiction for any irreparable loss or damage which may be caused to it resulting from a breach by the other party. The place of any such arbitration shall be and the language of the proceedings shall be the English language. The prevailing party in any dispute in connection with this Competition will be entitled to recover its reasonable attorney and expert fees and costs incurred. Judgment on any arbitration award may be entered in any court having proper jurisdiction
